Bilt Rewards Points Transfer to Alaska Airlines
An aspect of the Bilt Rewards program that has made it stand out to travel rewards enthusiasts is its plethora of travel partners. Bilt members can transfer points to the following loyalty programs at a 1:1 rate. Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan now joins these programs, with 1 Bilt point equating to 1 Alaska mile.
American Airlines AAdvantage (through June 2024)
Avianca Lifemiles
United MileagePlus
Air France–KLM Flying Blue
Virgin Red
Emirates Skywards
British Airways Executive Club
Cathay Pacific
Hawaiian Airlines HawaiianMiles
Turkish Airlines Miles & Smiles
Aer Lingus AerClub
Iberia Plus
Air Canada Aeroplan
Marriott Bonvoy
World of Hyatt
IHG One Rewards
Mileage Plan miles can be redeemed toward Alaska Airlines flights, as well as partner flights within its extensive network of Oneworld alliance partners. Alaska’s Money & Miles redemption also allows travelers to redeem miles for a discount on paid flights if they don’t have the number of miles needed to cover the full cost of a fare.
Another redemption option is using miles to book a hotel at one of the over 400,000 properties worldwide available through Alaska’s Rocketmiles-powered hotel search engine.
Bilt members will see the 1:1 transfer option to Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan within the Bilt app beginning Friday, March 15.
Alaska Airlines Cardholders Earn Bonus Miles on Rent Expenses
Bilt Rewards offers its members a unique opportunity to earn points on rent. This is accomplished by paying rent through a linked checking account in the Bilt app, which allows you to earn up to 250 points a month. You can also opt to apply for the Bilt World Elite Mastercard® (terms apply, see rates & fees), which will earn 1 point per dollar on rent payments (up to 100,000 points per calendar year, see rewards & benefits).
Another perk of the Bilt Rewards and Alaska Airlines partnership is the chance for those who hold an Alaska co-branded credit card to earn more rewards on their rent spending. When linking and using an Alaska Airlines Visa® credit card to pay rent through Bilt, cardholders will receive 3 miles per dollar on up to $50,000 annually. Neither Bilt nor Alaska has announced a specific date when this benefit will be available, but it is expected to go live later this spring.
Considering almost all credit cards charge some sort of transaction fee on rent payments and the Bilt World Elite Mastercard® rewards 1 point per dollar spent on rent, this offer is one of the strongest available when it comes to earning rewards on rent. If rent is a high monthly expense for you, the miles you earned with this deal could easily cover a yearly flight on Alaska or one of its partner airlines.

Bottom Line
Bilt’s newest partnership with Alaska Airlines provides even more flexibility when it comes to utilizing your Bilt points, whether that’s on Alaska metal or fares with the lineup of Oneworld alliance partners. What Bilt lost in its partnership with American Airlines can’t be made up, but the addition of Alaska should keep the program a strong contender.
If you meet the criteria of being a Bilt member, a renter and an Alaska Airlines credit cardholder, be sure to make rent payments through Bilt with your card once the option is available: You don’t want to miss out on one of the best reward offerings available for this large monthly expense.
